USA Today Business said the IRS is investigating Facebook for the time between 2008 through 2013 which might result in a tax bill between $3 billion and $5 billion. Internal Revenue Service filed on Thursday against the social media mogul.
Facebook said, “if the IRS prevails in the assessment of additional tax due based on its position, the assessed tax, interest and penalties, if any, could have a material adverse impact on our financial position, results of operations or cash flows.”
The IRS is also investigating
Facebook’s Ireland asset transfer.
To Law.com, a Facebook company spokesperson said recently:
“Facebook complies with all applicable rules and regulationsin
the countries where we operate.”
Furthermore, in the middle of July Facebook also got hit with a lawsuit worth $1 billion in damages for alleged complicity providing “things” to Israeli and America for attacks on Palestinians.
The lawsuit, filed in a the Southern District of New York, states that
“knowingly provided material support and resources to Hamas…
facilitating this terrorist group’s ability to communicate, recruit
members, plan and carry out attacks, and strike fear in its enemies.”

Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman in Gaza had something to offer to that one, saying:
“The real test for the owners of Facebook is to
reject this (Israeli) pressure”
Abu Zuhri believes Israel attempted to blackmail the Zuckerberg Concern for support , as well as trying to turn the social network into a spy tool against Palestinians. No proof has been found in the blackmail accusation yet. The spy tool idea is plausible, but so far, again, no proof. Twisted story. I am curious how these go down because it will affect some of us.
