U.S. Says New Bombing Campaign Against ISIS in Libya Has No “End Point at this Particular Moment”
The U.S. began a new major military campaign against ISIL on Monday when U.S. planes bombed targets in Libya, allegedly at the request of the U.N.-backed Libyan government. The coastal town of Sirte was the target this time, which ISIL took in mid-June of 2015.
Important: These attacks were done without congressional authorization or debate.
“We want to strike at ISIL anywhere it raises its head,” said Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook. “Libya is one of those places.” He said the airstrikes “would continue as long as [the Libyan government] is requesting them,” and that they do not have “an end point at this particular moment in time.”
Pentagon Press Secretary Briefs Reporters on U.S. Airstrikes
No country may attack another except in self-defense and only if authorized by Security Council members.
Who cares anymore right? Everyone is worried about Hillary/Trump. The U.S. is the most powerful country in the world. Does that mean we should use it like this? In 2007, candidate Obama, a University of Chicago Law School senior lecturer, said the following:
The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.
He’s terror-bombed seven countries and used terrorist foot soldiers to do his dirty work since taking office. Hear that? Syrian Rebels ring a bell? It was recently proven by wikileaks that Hillary herself fed them with weapons? Mr. Obamabombs repeatedly lied to the public about his actions. His tenure ends in January 2017. As I have said repeatedly in recent articles of mine pertaining to war, if Hillary is allowed to simply steal this election as it looks so far, she will turn the entire region into Hell on Earth.
I quote: “we came, we saw, and they died hehehehehe”. Donald Trump is just stupid and childish. She is a lunatic without a soul. I say again:
We cannot defend our country overseas. We can only do that AT HOME.
Let’s move on to Great Britain.
Military Escalation: British Airstrikes in Mosul, Iraq, Allegedly Against the ISIS
The U.S. and the U.K. with simultaneous attacks on Monday. Royal Air Force (RAF) Tornado warplanes ran new bombing sorties in Iraq. The British Ministry of Defense (MOD) said it was a training center for the Islamic State (ISIS-Daesh). The RAF has been taking part in air strikes against ISIS in Iraq since 2014, and in Syria since last December, in close cooperation with the U.S. How much of this has gotten to us? How much do we have to dig to find this stuff? It is so spread out, no one involved in their daily life will see it and think it’s related.
The MOD said, “Tornados participated in a major coalition air strike on Saddam’s former palace in Mosul, used by Daesh as a headquarters and training establishment for foreign terrorists, while Typhoons destroyed a network of fortified positions on the outskirts of Manbij.”
The latest strikes came just three weeks after Theresa May replaced David Cameron as Conservative Prime Minister.
Within five days of entering Downing Street, May signaled that under her premiership Britain’s military would step up its global operations. On July 18, she authorized a debate in parliament on the renewal of the UK Trident nuclear defense system. May set the tone of the debate, in which three quarters of the Labor Party backed the renewal of Trident. The prime minister replied with an unequivocal “Yes” to an MP who asked if she would be “personally prepared to authorize a nuclear strike that can kill a hundred thousand innocent men, women and children.”
She….and Hillary together. Don’t even ask.
Deployment of US THAAD Nuclear Missiles in South Korea Threatens China’s Security
Deploying the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) in South Korea will pose a serious threat to China’s strategic security, and China will by no means compromise such interests, read an editorial published in the People’s Daily on Wednesday.
Warning South Korea not to repeat the fate of Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, the paper said that it is not the first time the US has employed a “puppet” strategy. In order to expand its hegemony, the superpower usually throws other countries or regions into disarray and then escapes unscathed, the editorial said of the hidden agenda. For the South Korean government, deploying the THAAD system is like sending wolf to take care of the sheep. Such a self-destructive move will result in irreversible consequences, the article warned.
“It is hoped that South Korea could put long-term and people’s interests first and bear the reality in mind,” the article said.
Analysts stressed that deploying missile defense systems may fuel a dangerous arms race in Northeast Asia, as China and Russia would probably take counter-measures that the US and South Korea cannot afford.
According to the experts, the THAAD deployment will bring nothing good to Seoul, but trap the country in a military confrontation between the three powers. Once a conflict breaks out, South Korea will inevitably be the first target. What would you do? Guess who brought those THAAD to South Korea.
Ever play Fallout1-4? Maybe it’s time to get them.
